For many years, Simon Purssey, Head of Client Services at 13CABS, his logistics team, and the generous drivers have been waiving taxi fares and driving all over Melbourne at Christmas time collecting hundreds of full Food for Families boxes from schools and delivering them to our emergency food pantries.
Secondbite provides fresh and nutritious food for people in need across Australia by stopping good food from going to waste. They’re also helping us to store your amazing donations, keeping them safe and dry so families can access food all throughout 2018.
This year we’ve had the privilege of partnering with exceptionally talented RMIT School of Media and Communication undergraduate media students who have produced some really thoughtful, and sometimes hilarious videos to support our annual Food for Families Christmas appeal. Watch the videos here.
We’re lucky to have the team at Ability Works on board our Food for Families appeal for the first time this year. They’re a wonderful disability enterprise that have been helping us out with box distribution.
